Project Manager

Align Kitchens is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team in Brisbane. We are a family-run business with a dedicated team, helping families create beautiful spaces and achieve their visions for their homes. 

Our projects include kitchens, bathrooms, laundries, wardrobes, cabinetry and other interior renovation works. Every person involved plays a critical role, from our designers and cabinetmakers to our coordinators, installers and tradespeople. We are looking for someone who can bring these people and processes together, keeping projects organised and ensuring every job is finished with care. 

This is a hands-on role overseeing residential renovations from project handover through to installation, trade coordination and final completion. You will be practical, proactive and confident managing multiple projects, multiple teams, solving site issues and keeping customers informed along the way.

The business focuses on delivering high-quality customised kitchen and cabinetry solutions, manufactured and installed with strong attention to functionality, aesthetics, and client satisfaction. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate kitchen installs and residential renovation projects from handover through to practical completion. 
  • Review plans, specifications and job requirements before works commence. 
  • Schedule and coordinate installers, cabinetmakers, plumbers, electricians, tilers, stone suppliers and other trades. 
  • Coordinate site readiness, materials, deliveries and trade sequencing. 
  • Monitor installation progress, identify potential delays and resolve site issues promptly. 
  • Liaise with customers regarding schedules, site works and project progress. 
  • Work closely with designers, check measurers, drafters, production and administration. 
  • Monitor workmanship to ensure works meet Align Kitchens’ quality expectations. 
  • Coordinate defects, reworks and outstanding items through to completion. 
  • Maintain accurate project schedules, job notes and records. 
  • Manage multiple active renovation projects and competing priorities. 

Essential Requirements

  • Relevant experience in residential renovations, construction, cabinetmaking, joinery or a related industry. 
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating renovation projects, installations or multiple trades. 
  • Strong understanding of residential construction and renovation sequencing. 
  • Understanding of relevant Australian Standards and NCC requirements. 
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and technical drawings. 
  • Understanding of cabinetry construction and installation methods. 
  • Strong organisational, scheduling and time management skills. 
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail. 
  • Practical problem-solving skills and confidence making decisions on site. 
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills. 
  • Ability to coordinate multiple trades, suppliers and projects simultaneously. 
  • Competent use of digital technology and project management systems. 
  • Current driver’s licence. 

Desired Requirements

  • Certificate III in Cabinet Making, carpentry, building or another relevant construction trade. 
  • Previous experience as a Renovation Project Manager, Construction Coordinator, Site Supervisor, Installation Manager or similar. 
  • Experience coordinating plumbing, electrical, tiling, stone, cabinetry, plastering, painting and other residential trades. 
  • Experience with SimPRO or similar project management software. 
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Microvellum, Cabinet Vision, Mozaik or similar software.
